Quote FAQ
Before you send your part
- How fast will I get a response?
- We review the available part data and follow up to clarify the engineering and quotation scope. Timing depends on the completeness and complexity of the project information.
- What CAD formats do you accept?
- We work from 3D CAD in STEP, IGES, or STL, plus a 2D PDF drawing for tolerances and notes.
- Can you reverse engineer a physical sample into a STEP file?
- Yes. If usable CAD is unavailable, LongTeam can measure a physical part and reconstruct 3D CAD with a STEP deliverable. Send photos and any known dimensions first; we will confirm sample shipping, critical dimensions, tolerance expectations, intended changes, and authorization to reproduce the part before starting.
- What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
- MOQ is scoped per program — it depends on the part, tooling, and resin. As a one-stop OEM/ODM partner we support both prototype and volume production; share your annual volume and we will advise.
- What is the typical tooling lead time?
- Tooling lead time is confirmed per program once we review part geometry, cavitation, and steel selection (including two-shot/2K tools). We will commit to a schedule with your quote.
